Northline Building Systems was built by a team that learned construction the hard way — by delivering projects, absorbing the coordination pain of the fragmented trade model, and deciding there was a better way.

NBS was founded by Cle Gray following a hard-earned insight from running a prior construction entity: the biggest source of project failures — build errors, cost overruns, schedule slippage — wasn't the quality of individual trades. It was the gaps between them.
Disconnected design and shop workflows led to build errors. Procurement managed by individual trades led to material delays. Fragmented accountability meant nobody owned the outcome of the system as a whole.
Northline Building Systems was built to fix all of it — by functioning as the integration layer that the construction industry had always needed but never fully had. The team, the relationships, and the operational knowledge from the prior entity came forward into NBS. The infrastructure was rebuilt from scratch, designed for scale.
